Giveaway: Kristen’s Custom Creations

by Sharon on February 9, 2010

This giveaway is now closed

The incredible, super-talented Kristen from Kristen’s Custom Creations is offering this adorable charm necklace to one of you…

What better way to say I love you?

Here is a little information about the artist:

I spent 11 years working for a Branch Manager for a Fortune 500 recruiting firm and always thought I would continue to climb the corporate ladder. Boy did that change when I set eyes on my son Will! I had great difficulties getting pregnant and I spent a lot of time during this process evaluating my life. Wanting to be a SAHM, I saw my hobby as a chance to start a work from home business – that’s how Kristen’s Custom Creations was born.

I love that I am still connected to the outside world but I am able to work right at my dining room table. My days are filled with playing superheroes with Will, making a lot of glitter glue projects, and cuddling on the couch when necessary!

I love to hear of successful moms who have turned their creative genius into jobs that they can do from home. It inspires me!

And to inspire you just in time for Valentine’s Day, you have a chance to win this lovely charm necklace ($40 value), hand crafted by Kristen in honor of Will’s love of Chocolate.

(I understand where you’re coming from Will!)

The “i love you more than chocolate” is a 7/8th inch 925, sterling silver disc that has been hand stamped with a fancy lowercase script font. The disc hangs on a 18 inch sterling silver bead ball chain and is adorned with a beautiful freshwater pearl that has been hand wire wrapped.

Here’s what you can do to enter:

1). Leave a comment telling me who you love more than chocolate. I know, I know that’s a hard one, but I’m sure you can think of someone!

2). Subscribe to receive updates either by email, RSS, or by following in the Google Reader – then leave a comment saying you’ve done so. (If you’re already a subscriber/follower that counts too! just leave a comment saying that).

3). Visit Kristen’s Custom Creations’ Etsy Shop and leave a comment telling me what other pieces you like.

4). Follow me on Twitter and send out this tweet: Silver Necklace #Giveaway just in time for #Valentines Day! http://bit.ly/KCCreations @gtbsharon @klacustom Ends on 2/13! Then come back here and leave a comment telling me you did so!

Giveaway: EcoStore $25 Gift Card

by Sharon on February 8, 2010

This giveaway is now closed.

ecostore USA

15 years ago by Melanie and Malcolm Rands were faced with a challenge.

They were living in a small, eco-friendly village in New Zealand where each household was responsible for their own waste water. Unfortunately, the use of the “regular” supermarket cleaning products (which rely heavily on cheap, petroleum-based, synthetic ingredients) were creating a contamination issue in the water supply.

Eager to find a solution, Malcolm began to research household cleaning products that used plant-based ingredients that would biodegrade safely and quickly. And from his research EcoStore was born!

EcoStore sells ecologically friendly, plant-based household cleaning products which are as effective as the leading supermarket brands. And their body and baby care items are gentle on your skin and simply beautiful to use.

Ecostore USA

Ecostore USA recently sent me some of their products to try and I was very impressed by the quality.

We have used the EcoStore Baby Shampoo which was perfect for the Little Man’s sensitive skin.

I used EcoStore’s diaper cream with a great deal of success (it works on chapped hands too!).

And their household cleaning products are superb — laundry whitening, toilet bowl cleaning… it all works really well, certainly as well as anything the grocery store sells. Plus, you gain the added benefit of knowing that the ingredients are completely organic and plant based. That’s a nice upside!

I was also impressed by the packaging of the products – in an effort to be budget sensitive, EcoStore’s products are super concentrated. That keeps the packaging smaller, but a little goes a long, long way!

And now that you’ve heard about my experience with EcoStoreUSA and their high quality line, it’s time for you to try some!

EcoStoreUSA is offering a $25 Gift Card to one lucky winner. If you’re interested here are SIX different ways to enter! Be sure to leave a new comment for each one!
