For the last few weeks I’ve been on a bit of cleaning binge.
I’m been sprucing things up, throwing things out, and doing some serious remodeling.
I wish I could say that my house is now sparkling, but it’s not that kind of cleaning I’m talking about.
Instead, I’ve been cleaning up the blog.
It seemed like it was time to do some de-cluttering and general updating (if you are reading this in a feed or email, click here to see what I’m talking about).
If you look around, you might notice a few changes and additions, especially over on the right….
I put in a new Followers gadget for folks who use Google Friend Connect.
All you have to do is click the button that says “Follow” and you’ll get updates right to your Google Dashboard.
Go ahead, try it. I’ll wait.
Cool, huh?
There is also a new Label Cloud to help you find things I’ve written by topic.
It categorizes the contents of the blog in a format that takes up less space. You’ll notice that the size of the font correlates to how often I’ve written about that topic.
I think that’s pretty snazzy.
I have also created a button using my new (and slowly improving) PhotoShop skills.
My strategy is to just keep hacking away at it until I’m all bleary eyed and tired. That’s when I decide it’s done.
A highly technical experience, I assure you.
Feel free to grab the HTML code if you would like to include it in your sidebar. It’s a 170 pixel square – if that doesn’t fit for layout, let me know and I can customize the size and give you a new code (sounds like I know what I’m doing – hee hee hee!)
And finally, I updated my “About Me” page.
Such a strange thing to try and reduce your existence into one simple “about” page on a blog.
I’m still not sure if I got it right… But at least I got to put up pictures of my favorite boys. And that’s can’t be such a bad thing.

Now, while I am a Do It Yourself blog designer (bwhahahahaha – sorry, designer is much too generous of a term), that just means I get a lot of help from very patient friends.
