Just Lovely

June 23, 2010 By Sharon

The sky was blue, the birds were singing and the laughter was contagious. It was a beautiful day and a GINORMOUS field of fresh strawberries awaited us.

During the summer the Mom’s Bible Study that I’m a part of takes a break – obviously, the summer time schedules make it hard to get a consistent quorum of women together each week.

But because I would go into withdrawal if I didn’t see these awesome women for more than a week, my friend Mary has organized social outings. All in an attempt to keep me sane.

{Mary is a very, very good person and she always goes the extra mile… Especially when my sanity is on the line.}

The Little Man got right into the whole agricultural experience – He gets that from his daddy. He was picking strawberries with the best of ’em.

Unfortunately, very few of them actually made it into our basket…. that probably comes from his mother’s side of the family tree.

But in my defense, I don’t think that mine was the only progeny that was eating more than they were picking… and I have the photographic evidence to prove it.

At least he was willing to share… just for the JOY of it!
