I’m very late to the party… but better late than never?

Learning to Live Abundantly
If you are a teacher, student or homeschooling family and are looking for a way to save on Photoshop, here is some GREAT news for you.
Adobe, the maker of Photoshop (and many other products that I like to drool over), gives students and educators an EIGHTY PERCENT DISCOUNT!*
Be still my heart.
Of course, if you’re thinking about the purchase, but you aren’t quite sure, you could take advantage of Adobe’s 30 day free trial offer. What’s there to lose, right?
(although you might fall in love with Photoshop during this thirty days of free access… so start saving up your pennies now. It could happen to anyone. Even me. blush, blush)
On top of all this good news, two of my favorite learning resources are offering great deals right now…
E-Photo Pros makes their entire video library available for free on Mondays.
And Jessica Sprague is offering Photoshop Fridays each week (she’s a digital scrapbookin’ queen, but even if you’re not a scrapper, you will learn TONS from her). They are super affordable too.
In summary, great discounts to save on Photoshop, free trials and awesome learning resources….
You can thank me later.
*Sorry for yelling, but it’s these little perks that make me think homeschooling is definitely in my future. Of course, if I’m the person primarily responsible for the education of my Little Man, I probably won’t have much time left for Photoshop. But that’s a whole ‘nother story.

Yeah for Friday! Yeah for PhotoShop! Yeah for Little Boys!
(yeah, I know. Little Boys have nothing to do with Friday Fix It at I ? Faces. But I just had to throw it in there!)
Here is today’s photo for fixing…

And here is what I came up with…
and here is what I did:
- started with adjusting the levels
- cloned out the blemishes
- lightened the curves significantly to make the background pop
- Ran Coffee Shop’s Perfect Portrait actions – I just found this one, and it’s great. Definitely check it out.
- Selected just her face and lighted the curves.
- Ran PW’s Boost and lowered the opacity to ~20%
Then I played with that image with Pioneer Woman’s Actions. This is the one that I like the best… Lovely and Ethereal.
And finally, a beautiful B&W…
What do you think? Anything I could have done better?
