Are you interested in saving money on groceries? Would you like to be able to save money on groceries without coupons? Then it’s time for you to be introduced to Aldi, the greatest way to save money on groceries. Just put away your coupons and get ready for some great savings!
If you haven’t shopped here before, be sure to read the introduction to Aldi. This is a unique grocery store and operates a bit differently than what you might be used to. They have a consistent stock of basic grocery store items and then each week there are “Special Purchases” available. They tend to be seasonal and they are only available for that week!
Aldi keeps costs low through a variety of measures – they don’t take credit cards (only cash or debit cards), they don’t have fancy stores, they don’t supply free bags (but you can bring your own!), and you have to “rent” your cart for a quarter…. If any of this is news to you check out my introduction to Aldi). It will describe a completely different model that minimizes their costs so that you can save money on groceries – well worth the read!
Aldi also has a great website that lists the Special Purchases for the week and highlights their regular products that have had price reductions. Look for seasonal savings – low cost cheese around the Super Bowl, low cost flour around Christmas, low cost produce… almost all the time!
Your Local Paper will also have an insert that lists some regional Special Purchases so be sure to check that out too!
Reminder: Aldi will update their weekly inventory on different days across the country. Most stores will have these prices on Sundays, but as you can see from the map below, some stores will be delayed until Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Plan your trip accordingly!

If you would like see if there is a store near you check out the store locator
I hope you find this information valuable – and enjoy shopping at Aldi. It’s a great way to save money on groceries!
