Six years ago this week, Nature Boy and I got married
(how it has only been 72 months is impossible to me… We’ve crammed a whole lot of living into six years!)
In celebration of our anniversary (in which I should be giving either candy or iron ?! ), we are instead ordering up a little celestial celebration…
That’s right, in honor of my anniversary the heavens are putting on a show! It’s the annual Perseid Meteor shower, widely regarded as some of the best star gazing of the year. From around 10 p.m. until dawn, hundreds of meteors will be visible as the earth passes through the dust cloud of a comet.
And since astronomers recommend that watching the stars in an area with low city lights, we’re going to head outside and have a picnic dinner… A little wine, some cheese, maybe some chocolates.
And we’ve made arrangements to have some live music provided by this dapper fellow…
Doesn’t get much better than this.

Lovely way to celebrate! There’s so much artificial lighting where I live that seeing such celestial events is impossible … though I considered driving to the desert or the mountains to see this one.

Happy Anniversary! That is joyful. My husband and I give each other a memory on our anniversary, much like you are having tonight. Rather than try to outdo the last year’s gift….we decided that we would rather spend the money on an evening o’ fun. We have lots of memories….33 years worth.
