Wisconsins Got Talent

Every year we head to the North Woods of Wisconsin to reunited with Nature Boy’s family.

It’s a week of great food, lots of activity, laughter and limited bathing.

(not that anyone would ever sneak a little visit to the shower while everyone was out hiking and boating. Inconceivable! The thought would have never crossed her mind. Absolute sacrilege. Who would do such a thing?!)

Each year we cap off the week with the famous, world renown, top notch, over the top, spectacular… FAMILY TALENT SHOW!

It truly has to be seen to be believed.

There are costumes…

There are wigs…

There is laughter…

And occasionally there is actually some talent.

(But I think that was by accident)

Who could have known I was marrying into such a clever family. They sure bring me a lot of JOY!

Good, True & Beautiful

And what about you? What brought you JOY this week? Want to tell us about it?

oh what fun! We had a talent night at our family reunion too. I don’t have many pictures because I was videoing most of the time. Such good memories!

I would gladly join your family! The kids used to hold a talent show, but we’ve gotten away from it.

Thanks so much for all you valuable help and advice today!

What a fun family! It reminds me of my dad’s family. We don’t get together as often any more as many of his siblings have passed on, but when I was little, ooooooo-eeeeeee did that family know how to throw a party! My dad and one of is sisters and one of his brothers used to lead us in silly songs…On Top of Old Smokey was a favorite. I remember as a little girl (I was the youngest of all the nieces and nephews) thinking they were all a little bit crazy. Now as I’m older I would love for another of those rip-roaring parties…AND I know where my little bit of crazy comes from.
Your trip to the north woods of Wisconsin looks like it was fun one. Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourselves but I’d certainly be looking for that one person that snuck off to find a shower and reprimand her for her actions and make sure that next year someone puts a tracking device on her to keep her stinky for the entire trip!
Peace, blessings and JOY to your day!

So that’s what Wisconsin-ites do for fun during the summer. I know during the winter, they’re all freezing their bums off at the Packers stadium watching football with their cheese hats. It’s good to know there’s some variety there. ;)

Looks like you all had a wonderful, yet only somewhat stinky time. THAT is what memories are made of.

Now THAT looks like fun! Love the wigs! I’d be afraid to guess what my boys would come up with for their talent. Chances are it would be stinky. (literally! lol!)
