a BIG THANK YOU!

by Sharon on March 31, 2010

As you know, my brother-in-law came home from Afghanistan yesterday. The JOY, relief and gratitude for his safe return is beyond words. And it is impossible for me to overlook the symbolism of his homecoming in the heart of the Easter Season.

Love. Selflessness. Service. Sacrifice.

There are so many families who have given so much for us. And when our soldiers come home, it is a reason to celebrate….

To all the families who are serving our country… THANK YOU.

You bring us JOY.

Good, True & Beautiful

I have to admit that I am not going to watch that video because I know it will make me weep and I have already cried several times tonight. :) I’m so glad your brother-in-law is home.

Oh it hasn’t been bad. I’m just an emotional fail. I’m blaming hormones + prednisone! :)

I have no clue why I wrote “your” instead of “you”. I guess it was the excitement at telling you about my joyous occasion :)

Wow! Thanks for sharing…

Just had to grab a tissue… We’ve been going through tissues, fighting a cold or allergies or something, but this was worth it!

God bless America!

Alright, so hubby and I watched this last night and we were both crying like babies. (Oops, don’t know if he would want me to say that!)

The joy on that first little boy’s face is priceless. I love how there were no inhibitions or any embarrassment in front of his friends. He just knew that there was his daddy and he ran to him. It was so powerful. Isn’t that how we all should be with our heavenly father?
