Welcome to WordPress!

blurry room

WooHoo!

It’s late, I’m tired and rather blurry-eyed, but the new blog site is up and running! I have successfully migrated from Blogger to WordPress all by my little ol’ self (and a lot of help from Google, Thesis Forums and the support team at DreamHost!). If you’re reading this in email, come on over and check it out!

The BEST news of all however, is that I figured out how to bring all of you Google Friends with me! I’ll plan to write up an explanation shortly in case you would like to do the same thing. I hope that’s good news for you too!

Many folks have asked me why I moved to WordPress, if I was unhappy with Blogger, and if they should be considering a similar move. Those are all good questions – I promise that I’ll share my thoughts with you shortly. First, I need to get some sleep!

{Stay tuned over the next ten days… we’re going to have some GIVEAWAYS going on to celebrate! Starting tomorrow today!}

Oh. My. Word. It is awesome!!! Seriously, I love it! I like it better than when it was on Blogger.

I can’t believe you did it on your own! You are a superstar DIY!!!

Thanks Amanda! You’re the bestest. :-) As per your instructions, I kept it uncluttered!

I’ve still got some work to do, a few more buttons to build and graphic stuff to learn, but for now at least it’s functional! That was the hardest part!

(If you have any plugin recommendations, I’m all ears)

Oh, yes! Please share!! I’ve been contemplating moving…but like Lynn, I’m SCARED!! Don’t want to lose what I’ve already got…

The new site looks GREAT!! Love it! Good job!! I love that you added “googling my way through motherhood!” That quote has made me laugh ever since I read it and I’ve meant to put it as my FB status many times…each time I’ve googled a motherhood issue! :-)

WordPress is more comprehensive and more professional than Blogspot. From the templates to the widgets, WordPress is advantageous than Blogspot. The only good thing from Blogspot is because this is a user-friendly blog site. :)
