It’s Friday at I ? Faces! Check out this great picture that they’ve given us to work on….
Isn’t that charming?
Using CS3, I took the following steps:
- In Levels, brought the left slider in so that it touched the histogram
- added some contrast (+10) and brought down the brightness (-10)
- Selected their faces and did a slight curves adjustment and sharpen
- used PW’s Boost Action and lowered the opacity to 50%
- cropped it
And here is what I got!
Before you leave, I also have to a little announcement with a BIG THANKS to I ? Faces! I hope you’ll check it out…

Love way you brought out the color!
I agree with Farmgirl, the way you brought out the color is excellent!
Congrats on the new job.
And nice job on the edit.
Love the color of your edit and congratulations on your new job!
Beautiful edit! Do you mind me asking, what is PW?
I just found your blog through I Heart Faces. I am just starting out learning more about how to improve my photography and editing. We have ancient Photoshop Elements 2 (!) but I am dreaming of getting more up to date software through educational discount. Which do you recommend for someone who is hoping to eventually make a little money through a small photography business?

Awesome job! I love what you did. I definitely need to play around more with my Photo Shop. Congratulations on your job!
Blessings
Beautiful! You just keep getting better!
Good job on the photo!
And per your comment on my recent blog post…
YES…you are one of the non-weirdos included on my list of blogging buddies and you do not need to start acting more "civilized" (I think that's the word you used)! You seem like a very civilized non-weirdo so no changes necessary!
Peace.

Love your fixes! Another great job! I linked to you news on my blog – hope you don't mind.
Congratulations! That is awesome. It has inspired me to get my husband back to looking for side jobs. He does this for a full time job and it would be great if he could get a gig like this to do in his free time:-)
Love your blog… Found it from "next blog" on Blogger. I look forward to reading! God bless!
Love the edit! And congrats on the new job! If we can ever save enough for our "swanky" camera, I will be emailing to pick your brain! Lol
Love it!
Boy, do I have a lot to learn about photography! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and congratulations on your new job!
oh wow! You made a HUGE difference in it! Awesome!
Okay…so back to several weeks ago when you posted the recipe for your laundry detergent…
I made some on Saturday. It was easy. I'm not sure I turned out right, but I'm using it today and so far, so good.
Thanks!
