Today, Nature Boy and I are the featured couple at Meet the Newlyweds.

(okay, okay, I know that we probably aren’t really considered newlyweds after having been married for five years, but hey, play along!).
As you can imagine I was quite honored to be selected for this feature and you should click here to read my interview (it might not be up until Thursday). Guaranteed that you’ll learn something new about me!
As I celebrated this blogging milestone over a bowl of chocolate ice cream, my thoughts drifted to all things courtship and dating and marriage. And in this frame of mind, I had to ask myself
What are the most important skills that you should have if you’re trying to catch a husband?
And being the newly crowned Not-so-Newlywed Expert, here is what I came up with:
Cooking: Everyone knows that the path to a man’s heart is found through his stomach, so it’s probably important that you’re a good cook.
Fashion: a pleasing sense of fashion, along with a tasteful talent for accessorizing, could be considered essential if you’re trying to snag a guy.
Driving: a clean driving record, excellent eye/hand coordination and an uneering sense of direction. How could a guy resist?

Okay folks, now it’s YOUR turn! Lets spread some JOY!
If you have a blog add a link to the “MckLinky” application below… (please be sure to link to the post, not to your home page) AND add a link to www.goodtrueandbeautiful.com - that way everyone has a chance to benefit from each other (and I appreciate it!)
If you don’t have a blog, please share your thoughts in the comment section below… it’s wonderful to read about all your JOYS!
And of course, everybody should click on some of the links listed below, and be sure to leave a comment so they know you stopped by for a visit. It’s just good manners after all!

Oh my goodness, Sharon, that OUTFIT! And I love y'all posing proudly with the half-submerged tractor. Classic goodness there.
No wonder Nature Boy fell madly in love with you!
OMG the outfit is the best ever!
LOL, that made me laugh. Thanks for cheering up my night!
I've got another one:
Be his waitress and bring him beer!
Well, it worked for me.
Thanks for the fabulous laugh! I couldn't find you on the Newlywed site. Could you send a little help this girl's way?
I greatly appreciated that post. Just came by from the Newlyweds.
That was a great post! Love the photos! Hubby and I are going on 26 years married, so I guess we don't qualify as newlyweds. Just dropped by from SITS to say hi; hope you will do the same.
Ha, you've got great pictures to show how you're a master in all these areas. Glad to hear you caught yourself one!
Thanks for the interview it was lots of fun, and I love your advice and fashion sense!
Very cute! Thanks for the laugh(at your Michael/Latoya pic) and for bringing some joy to my day!

Looking forward to reading the "newlywed" post, too…
You're hilarious!
After reading that it makes me wonder how on earth my husband was ever attracted to me…I couldn't cook (I can now, a little bit), I had no fashion sense…it must have been my witty sense of humor that made him fall for me.
I just read your interview on Jenna's blog and wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it. My husband is working my last nerve today so it was something well worth me reading today!
Ironing boxers? You MUST post about that further. What in the world is going on with husbands and weird laundry requests?
great interview sharon! congrats on your feature!
Love the picture from 1984!
Jeanine
Seriously, awesome pictures!!!
You are a brave woman. Those pictures are like, tootally rad.
Oh, that is fabulous! And, bonus! Your 1984 outfit would blend right in today in southern California. So, you know, you were fashion-WAY-forward.
Fun post.
Those pictures are SO hilarious! I love the one of you dressed up! It brings back memories of huge hair and horrible clothes!
