No Way!

by Sharon on December 28, 2009

I have nothing witty to say…  My creative juices have evaporated.  My paltry offerings are dusty and rusty and lame.

My pale little attempts at humor have been humbled, stumbled and sent home in the face of real talent.

Just wait until you see this and you’ll understand what I mean…

A few weeks ago I posted a picture of our little farm on a crisp, cold morning:

And last week I got this incredible email from Jeanne Long an watercolor artist in Minnesota.

She said:

I just discovered your blog today, and was so impressed with your farmhouse, your family, your decorating, and your thoughts about living and loving life.  I hope you don’t mind that I enjoyed the image of your farmhouse in winter so much that I was inspired to attempt to paint it…

And then she attached this to her email…

Oh.

My.

Goodness.

How did she do that?  That’s my house in watercolor!

And did you notice that she said “I just discovered your blog today“?

I’m without words.

Thank you Jeanne — your talents are incredible and I was so touched that you shared them with me!

What a fun surprise! I can't help but think of the ways you gave so many of us the gift of your talent, helping us with our blog banner and buttons and then look what came your way!
How does that Scripture go? "pressed down and running over"??
