Friday, Friday!

by Sharon on December 4, 2009

If you are a Photo Editing Newbie, I highly encourage you to take part in I ♥ Face’s Fix It Friday…  I’ve learned so much from this wonderful endeavor!  Big thanks to Amy and Angie for their great idea.

Here is this week’s photo…

(My poor, under-worked ovaries are groaning.)

And here is how I tweaked it…

I didn’t do much to this picture…

- crop so that his {adorable} face fell onto a “rule of third” line
- adjusted levels by pulling the right slider in, just until the start of the histogram
- warmed it up using PW’s Warmer Action
- sharpened his right eye at 50% Opacity to bring it out a little bit
- created an S in Curves to increase the contrast.

Ta Da!

I decided not to fiddle with the skin or touch the lines under his eyes…  What do you think?  Should I have?  I’m always worried about the evil plastic/alien effect of over-editing.

While you’re here, check out what else I’m learning to do in PhotoShop!  (hee hee hee)

I like your edits – I cropped the oher way on my fixes and I did clean up under the eye, but used very light opacity.
