Arachnopobia!

by Sharon on November 1, 2009

You might have heard on the news about the disturbance at the Cooperstown Soccer Games on Saturday, but just in case you missed it…

A large, unbearably cute, spider was spotted prowling through the crowds.

He traumatized all of the soccer fields with his ferocious, menacing presence.

He caused grown men to run away in horror, fearful for their very lives

Fortunately, this was a “consignment-shop-costume-awesome-deal-of-the-day” arachnoid, one of the friendly varieties.

He was an ambassador of goodwill and happy thoughts.

He even picked up a few soccer moves from some of the pretty girls in attendance.

And then, after a morning of oohs and aaahs, he told his mommy it was time to go home for a nap….

…. ’cause it’s hard work being so darn adorable.

Hope you had a fun weekend too!

way too cute! I love the costume and the pictures. Favorite has to be the needs-a-nap look. I so know that look, even in a spider suit!
Ah Halloween Day in America, there's nothing like it!

What a super cute spider!!! I can't believe I'm saying that as I dislike spiders a lot – but this little guy can sit by my tuffet any time ;)
Thank you, Sharon, for stopping by my blog to share what you are thankful for! I appreciate the visit & I hope you'll stop by again some time.

I think kids should have to dress up like this everyday. They are so cute all dressed up. I love the one where he is playing with the spider legs!!

That is the most adorable, fearsome spider I've ever seen! My 4-year old son would've been running through the crowds trying to scare everyone out of their wits. Oh, well. Enjoy this "nice" spider stage! :)

Cutest darn spider I've ever seen. Wouldn't want to squash that one…unless it was to squash him with snuggles!!!!
Hope you're having a great day!
