Have you ever had one of those days? The kind of day when the dishes in your sink are mistaken for Mt. Everest, everything keeps breaking, and your “To Do” list gets longer rather than shorter?
Yeah, one of those days.
I had one this week. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t polite. I don’t even think it was legal, it was so bad.
Just to give you a glimpse, it started out with a dead mouse that wasn’t. Wasn’t dead that is. And in my corner of the world, a day that starts out with a dead/undead mouse is not on a good trajectory.
Why do I tell you about this bad day I had? It’s so I can tell you that in the middle of this particularly bad day, I got a little message in my inbox.
It was a note from Jen that said:
Hi Sharon! Just wanted to tell you again that I so enjoy reading Good, True, and Beautiful.
I loved the pictures of your garage sale spread — I want to say “I would have stopped” but when I’m in serious garage sale mode, the truth is, maybe not! I do think it was a great idea and beautiful pictures.
Anyway, my friend Lisa passed on this “Awesome Blogger” award to me (which was very nice of her), and your blog was the one that came to mind when I thought about passing it on. I just want to let you know that I enjoy reading!
And then she gave me this….
And you know what happened?! The clouds parted, the skies turned blue and sunshine started to pour in to my lousy day. Life was good and my really bad day suddenly was a lot less bad. For me at least – probably not so much for the mouse.
Thanks again Jen!

Friends are so wonderful, aren't they? Such blessings so often in the midst of cloudy skies, huh?
Glad your week turned around. I've had a week like that too, not down particularly, just super lazy and things are definitely piling up.
Blessings~
AMEN Leslie – what would we do without them?!
I know what you mean about getting behind – lots of outside projects means the inside gets a bit neglected.
BTW, your house is beautiful. I look forward to seeing the after photos!
Congratulation! Thank heavens for someone thinking of you! I have had one of those weeks for me to but no clouds parting!
Hang in there Danielle, it's a new day, with new mercies. Plus, the weekend is coming!
Thanks Sharon for the fun post and the link given–love your writing style!
